Streamer Neo Langston appears before grand jury in Celeste Rivas case

LOS ANGELES — Recently arrested streamer Neo Langston appeared Wednesday in front of a Los Angeles grand jury in connection with the suspected murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered remains were found in singer D4vd’s impounded Tesla last year.
Langston was arrested in Montana last month on a warrant from the LAPD for failure to appear as a witness. After being taken into custody at his mother’s home in Helena, he was transferred to L.A.’s Metropolitan Detention Center and bonded out shortly after on $60,000.
On Wednesday, Langston spent roughly 30 to 40 minutes in the L.A. courthouse where a grand jury has been convened to gather details on the death of Rivas Hernandez, according to TMZ.
In September, the decomposing body of the 15-year-old girl was discovered in the trunk of D4vd’s vehicle, roughly two weeks after it was reported abandoned on a street in Hollywood. It was ultimately towed and taken to an impound lot, where authorities were called to investigate a foul smell coming from the car.
The 20-year-old Queens-born musician, real name David Anthony Burke, was identified as a suspect in mid-November. The news was followed shortly by reports that a second suspect had been identified, though not publicly named.
According to TMZ, the second individual is believed to have knowledge of the events leading up to, during and after Rivas’ death. They’re not believed to have killed the teen, but may have helped dismember her remains.
Langston’s involvement in the case is unclear, as is what happened in court on Wednesday, though he’s known to have a friendship with D4vd. The grand jury is expected to vote on whether to formally indict D4vd on charges of murder.
Though the exact nature of Rivas and D4vd’s relationship has not been confirmed by police, the young girl’s mother told TMZ early in the case that her daughter had a boyfriend named David. Friends who knew the pair have said they believed they were a couple.
Rivas had attempted multiple times to run away from her home in Lake Elsinore, roughly 75 miles southeast of where her body was found in L.A. She was just 13 years old when she was last seen by her family in April 2024.
