CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and “pop disruptor” Reneé Rapp announced on Monday her biggest concert tour as a headliner — and it will include a stop in her hometown of Charlotte, at uptown’s Spectrum Center on Oct. 29.
Rapp, 25, is a 2018 graduate of Northwest School of the Arts on Beatties Ford and grew up in Huntersville.
The Charlotte date will mark the final show of a 16-city run in support of Rapp’s forthcoming sophomore album “Bite Me” (to be released Aug. 1 via Interscope Records). Special guest Ravyn Lenae will open.
Tickets will be available via the following schedule:
—A presale for holders of Gap Inc. Card and Mastercard credit cards (including Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta) will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at us-music.priceless.com/gap.
—An “artist presale” will run from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday. To register for it, fans can sign up at livemu.sc/reneerapp through 1 a.m. Wednesday.
—The general on-sale date is Friday, with tickets available starting at 10 a.m. via ReneeRapp.com.
Two years ago Rapp teamed up with rapper Megan Thee Stallion on the hit single “Not My Fault.” The lead track off of her “Bite Me” album, “Leave Me Alone,” has been flirting with the pop charts since its early release a month ago.
Rapp also has an impressive acting resume, having starred last year as Regina George in Tina Fey’s “Mean Girls” movie remake and from 2021 to 2021 in the HBO Max dramedy “The Sex Lives of College Girls.”
