Farrah Franklin enjoyed "a few friendly outings" with Terrence Howard but insists there was "nothing romantic".
The former Destiny's Child star has opened up after the Hustle and Flow actor, 57, claimed he once turned down the chance to date Beyonce and instead "ended up talking to" a different member of the Survivor hitmakers.
He told the PBD Podcast: "You know, I had a chance to date Beyonce early on.
"We had a conversation, you know, and I ended up talking to the other girl inside of, you know, Destiny['s Child]. The girl with the blue eyes."
The Empire star didn't name which band member he dated, or when it happened, besides claiming it was "very, very long ago".
Now, Farrah - who was briefly a member of the band - has told PEOPLE magazine: "I'm Farrah with the natural green eyes (not Blue lol), and I can confirm that Terrence and I had a few friendly outings--nothing romantic."
She added: "We went to the studio a few times, and I will say that Terrence is super talented!
"I won't speculate on anything else that was said, and as always, I wish everyone well and remain focused on my own journey."
Destiny's Child initially formed with Beyonce, 44, and original members Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson, with the latter two replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin.Farrah would also soon part ways, leaving the group as a three piece.
In his interview, Terrence also recalled performing with Beyonce on stage at the 2005 BET Awards as Destiny's Child sang Cater 2 U, with Magic Johnson joining Michelle and Nelly dancing with Dilemma collaborator Kelly.
He said: "I remember Beyoncé looking over at me, and I think that's why she picked me to do that dance, when she did the kind of strip tease dance that we did at BET or whatever, to show me what I had lost."
The actor added that there was "a moment" where he was "attracted" to the singer, before she was with her husband Jay-Z.
Father-of-five Terrence has been married four times, having got divorced from fourth wife Mira Pak 11 years ago.
That same year, Terrence admitted he had hit his first wife Lori McCommas in 2001.
He told Rolling Stone magazine in 2015: "She was talking to me real strong, and I lost my mind and slapped her in front of the kids.
