Niall Horan takes up gardening and cooking

Niall Horan has taken up gardening and cooking since settling down with his girlfriend Amelia Woolley.
The 32-year-old One Direction star has been dating the businesswoman since 2020 and they share a house in London along with their pet dog Tommy, and Niall has revealed he's been embracing hobbies he previously found "boring" because he loves spending time at home.
During an appearance on the Dish from Waitrose podcast, he explained: "I think as, as I'm getting older, I find things that I used to find boring - like I'm into gardening now ...I know the names of about five or six flowers now that I never knew before ...
"I spend so much time in the hotels and travel in the world, and I feel like the last few years I've just been able to just I'm in the settle down, settling down period.
"It's been nice to just be at home and do stuff like that that people watching this would go, I do that every day."
Niall also revealed he's started cooking a lot more since the COVID-19 lockdowns.
He said: "I think during COVID I got mad into it. You just try on every website and everything, anything you haven't made before, you give a crack.
"When I'm home, I try and do a little bit, nothing overly complicated. Because I, you know, when you think I want to be patient. And then you get halfway through it, you're like, oh, this is a pain."
However, he leaves Amelia to cook roast dinners because she's better at it. He added: "Love making a roast. And my partner makes the meanest roast, so I just kind of leave her to it.
"But I love a good roast potato and a good bit of pork or something like that. Simple stuff, like nothing that - if people are coming around, you don't want to embarrass yourself, do you?
"Yeah, there's nothing worse than having to be like all over the oven when you're trying to have pour drinks for people and stuff."
Niall's cooking hasn't always gone to plan and he confessed he once "ruined" a New Year's Eve party with a substandard beef Wellington.
He explained: "I once made a Wellington. And ruined a whole New Year's party. Because it just burst and there was pastry everywhere. We basically just had a nice fillet steak. Bit of mushroom.
"It was my first. I was watching a Gordon [Ramsey] ... [It] feels like his is the only recipe of all time as well now everyone knows as well. All the chefs are like: 'I make an unbelievable Wellington'. I can't do it."
Niall previously admitted he "loves" the life he leads with his "amazing" girlfriend Amelia.
He gushed to GQ Hype: "Having someone to rant with and listen to and be listened to is huge. I'm glad I found it.
"And she's amazing and she's got her own thing going on. I love the life that we've got"
The couple enjoy a simple life together but frequently find their weekends just disappear. Niall admitted: "We're also big procrastinators. Friday'll come and I'll be like, 'Can't wait for the weekend,' and then Sunday night comes and we've done nothing. We spent the whole weekend in the house."
