Taylor Frankie Paul has filed a counter temporary restraining order against ex Dakota Mortensen — both of whom have accused each other of recent domestic violence — as a judge issued a temporary custody arrangement dictating how much time she’s allotted with their toddler son.
The 31-year-old “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star’s filing was confirmed Tuesday by Us Weekly.
People reports the TRO is also on behalf of the exes’ son Ever, 2, with Paul citing an alleged “high number of instances of abuse and domestic violence (assault, harassment, and stalking) at Dakota’s hands.”
The same day, a Utah judge ruled that the would-be “Bachelorette” can see Ever for up to eight weekly hours of supervised parent time, which can be broken up into two- or three-hour blocks, until an April 30 court hearing, TMZ reports.
The fifth season of Hulu’s “Secret Lives” halted production last month amid reports that Utah officials were investigating allegations Paul recently attacked Mortensen, 33. Both were ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluations.
Days before Paul’s “Bachelorette” season was set to premiere on ABC, TMZ published video from the 2023 domestic violence incident that resulted in Paul’s notorious arrest.
The clip shows a drunken Paul screaming at Mortensen as she tries to put him in a chokehold before chucking three metal bar stools at him, one of which seemed to hit her daughter Indy, 5. Paul shares the little girl, now 8, with ex-husband Tate Paul, with whom she also shares a 5-year-old son named Ocean.
Paul’s arrest opened the “Mormon Wives” pilot and it was well-publicized that she pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault in exchange for the state tossing charges of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse, and criminal mischief. But the video of the inciting incident was all ABC needed to pull the plug on “The Bachelorette.”
That same day, Mortensen filed a protective order against Paul and was promptly awarded temporary custody of Ever.
