Jerry Hall finds it "easy" to be friends with Sir Mick Jagger.

The 70-year-old supermodel - who has four children with the Rolling Stones rocker, who she split from in 1999 after 22 years together - spends a lot of time with her ex-husband and his current partner Melanie Hamrick because they are good company and a "lot of fun".

She told Grazia magazine: "I think you should always try to be friends with people you have children with. It's really important, because that's forever.

"Mick's easy to be friends with because I really like him - he's a lot of fun and a great dad. I like his partner, Mel. They come out quite often to my house, and we have such a good time.

"Mostly, we play games: backgammon, chess, Scrabble, charades, croquet, pool..."

Jerry has lived alone since her marriage to media mogul Rupert Murdoch ended in 2022 and she joked she must be "strange" because she never gets lonely.

She said: "I had never lived alone my entire life, until three years ago. I was quite scared.

"After a few months, I was like, wow, this is easy - and my house, it's so tidy!

"I kind of have the perfect life now. I never had such an easy life. I don't have to look after a husband or their friends. I mean, I guess you could say it was selfish, but I think I deserve it. I worked hard."

Asked if she gets lonely, she quipped: "That's really strange - what's wrong with me? I don't ever feel lonely at all.

"You don't have to have a boyfriend or a husband. You can just enjoy being on your own."

The Celebrity Traitors contestant has three grandchildren and enjoys being a fun relative.

She said: "I feel like I have achieved something. I've lived 70 years, and I've made a family, and they've made family.

"I don't believe in nagging them. I think that's such a bore. I think you teach by example."

When it came to raising her own kids, Jerry had a "low bar" for expected standards from her brood.

She said: "I had such a low bar for my children. I don't care if you do good in school, go to college, get a job... you can always live with me. One thing you can't ever do is be a heroin addict."
