'CLAYFACE'

Rated R for strong bloody violence, gore, language, some nudity and brief drug use.

What it’s about: In this tale featuring a deep-cut DC Comics character, a promising young actor, mutilated by a gangster, seeks out an experimental treatment with extreme side effects.

The kid attractor factor: Pretty violent for kids, this is more of a body horror adult drama

Good lessons/bad lessons: Hubris and vanity can lead to dangerous risk taking.

Violence: Some extreme bloody violence and gory images, as well as fantastical supervillain comic book violence.

Language: Some swearing.

Sex: Graphic nudity and an implied sex scene.

Drugs: Onscreen party drug use.

Parents’ advisory: Too violent and mature for kids. For teens and adults only.

'WICKER'

Rated R for sexual content, language and brief full nudity.

What it’s about: A medieval-era romantic fantasy about a lonely fisherwoman who asks a basket maker to craft her a husband made of wicker.

The kid attractor factor: This is more for adults, not much appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Don’t block your own blessings.

Violence: A violent attack, an injury, a brush with fire.

Language: Swearing and rude language.

Sex: Several sex scenes and references to sex, some nudity.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: For adult audiences and older teens, not kids.
