Brandi Glanville is taking her "face off" for a "power wash" under the skin.
The 53-year-old reality TV star going under the knife for a drastic procedure after spending years battling a mysterious illness which has caused facial disfigurement. She has now revealed her doctor is convinced the issue could be cause by "fungal balls" or "something alive" so she's undergoing a surgery in an attempt to wash it away.
During an appearance on her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast, she explained: "Dr. Carlo Henrado is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin ...
"[He] knows where there are two definite spots, like either fungal balls or something alive ... I think it's alive, personally, because it moves when it wants."
Brandi explained her doctor has been "highly recommended" and is performing the surgery for the amount of money her insurance company would cover plus an additional $5,000.
She added of the cost: "But I'm OK with that. He's like: 'If I can cut the head off the beast, the snake, then the other stuff we'll be able to get'."
The The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted she's "super excited" but also "scared to death", adding of the operation: "He's, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s***.
"And then he's spinning my blood and doing this platelet thing on the inside of my face. We might not want my blood at this point."
TMZ.com reports Brandi will also undergo a 90-day anti-fungal treatment following the surgery.
Brandi previously revealed she spent more than $130,000 on medical bills as she attempted to track down a diagnosis with doctors explaining her symptoms were being caused by a parasite - and she was convinced ruptured breast implants led to the issue because because leaking silicone clogged her lymph nodes and led to the infection.
She told UsWeekly: "I'm out of funds. I'm out over six figures at this point. I don't have the means to go anywhere at this point. I'm online every day, going down a different rabbit hole. It's exhausting. It's all-consuming."
She added: "So, I went to the best infectious disease doctor, I went to the best allergist. I had to because when you've seen every doctor at Kaiser and they're telling you, 'Maybe see a dentist.'
"And you're like, 'I'm at the dentist constantly, [but] there's a lump in my neck and my throat under my cheekbone that goes to the other side of my face.
"It's moving down my body, like, literally in my neck now moving on my left shoulder [and] down my arm. I have to get up, I have to stretch, I have to get in a hot tub. I have a routine and it sucks.
"My lowest moment is] just not living life and missing out on life. I literally don't do anything and I feel like I'm experiencing [the] COVID-19 [pandemic lockdown] all over again, but with some miserable side effects!"
