Heidi Klum reveals Halloween costume was based on her own hand

Heidi Klum's Halloween costume was based on her own hand.
The 53-year-old model always causes a stir with her outrageous outfits during the spooky holiday and this year was no different, because she arrived at her annual party on Saturday (31.10.26) night as a severed hand, complete with red nail polish and an array of rings.
She told Good Morning America: "My inspiration was my hand.
"It is actually my hand, like, even the veins and everything. You know how everything you can now do with 3D [printing]? They scan you and everything?
"We started at 3:00 today, so today wasn't so bad."
The costume was put together by Heidi's long-term collaborator Mike Marino and the Project Runway host is always in awe of his attention to detail.
She told Vogue magazine: "We even recreated my engagement ring and wedding band, as well as the little tattoo on my finger.
"Nothing was overlooked! I love that Mike pays attention to things that most people might not even notice at first. The details make these costumes so special. It's not just any giant hand: It's my giant hand!"
Heidi - who is married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz and has four children with ex-husband Seal - wanted people to find her costume "funny and bizarre" and find the same joy she did in taking something ordinary and doing something unexpected with it.
She said: "I always love to do something unexpected. Every year, I want to surprise people and do something that they haven't seen me - or anyone - do before. Halloween is my favorite time of year because I get to completely transform myself and become something totally different.
"I love the idea of taking something so common, and that we see every single day, something we probably never even think twice about, and turning it into something larger than life. I thought it would be funny and bizarre to take something so familiar and twist it."
Once she got inside the party, Heidi shed the hand costume and celebrated in a skin-tight bloodied outfit.
She admitted: "By the end of the night, I'm usually ready to get out of my costume.
"Some of these transformations take so much time to get into, and getting out of them can be an adventure in itself."
And almost as soon as the party was over, Heidi - whose recent costumes have included Medusa and E.T. - started thinking about her 2027 bash.
She admitted: "November 1 is also when I start thinking about next year. I'm always collecting ideas, so even when Halloween is over, my brain is already working on what I could possibly become next."
