Xochitl Gomez would love to star in a romcom movie.

The 20-year-old actress has already enjoyed significant career success in Hollywood, starring in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022, and Xochitl has now revealed that she'd love to appear in a romcom movie.

Asked if she has a dream role, Xochitl told The Hollywood Reporter: "Romcoms! I think that's definitely coming back in the circle, but I would love to do one that's really special, really tender in the heart.

"I was really touched by Eternity, which isn't necessarily a romcom, but something in that world; it feels really special."

Xochitl revealed that Elizabeth Olsen has already given her some valuable career advice.

She said: "The thing that Elizabeth Olsen had told me was just ask questions. Don't be afraid to put your own ideas out there. That really shaped who I am today on set because I realised that the things that I have to say matter."

Xochitl also explained what she does for fun when she's not working.

The actress shared: "I do martial arts. I've done that for a little bit.

"I did swim team for a little bit. I played tennis. I was really sporty, so I did a lot of that.

"But other than that, I mean, Rhinestoner. Certified rhinestoner. A certified solid core girly. That's about as good as it gets."

Xochitl previously explained that she's very intentional with all of her career choices.

The actress revealed that she actively seeks "joy" in whatever she's working on.

She recently told ELLE: "I have heard so many horror stories about people being stuck in a project for so long, and dreading the process, and not having a creative flow.

"I make sure, with every step I take, that I think, 'Is this something that is going to bring joy? Is this something that's going to spark creativity? Am I going to enjoy this process?'"
