Jack Schlossberg all in on Trump probe if he wins Nadler's seat

NEW YORK — Jack Schlossberg on Tuesday declared if he wins the crowded race to succeed Rep. Jerry Nadler in Congress, he’ll be all in on investigating and even impeaching President Donald Trump.
The Kennedy scion told MSNOW’s "Morning Joe" that Democrats must retake the House of Representatives in the fall midterm elections so they can hold Trump’s feet to the fire.
“We’ve seen criminal behavior on a level and corruption on a level that we’ve never seen before in American history,” Schlossberg said in reply to a question from co-host Jonathan Lemire. “And unless Democrats win back the House and we investigate those crimes, then it’s all going to go unanswered.”
Schlossberg, 33, a political neophyte and social media powerhouse, also cheered the recent decision of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to endorse him in the crowded Democratic primary for the NY-12 district that spans the Upper West and Upper East sides of Manhattan.
“She’s a hero of mine. She’s the backbone of the Democratic Party,” he said. “And she’s got a great political instinct and she believes we can win.”
Schlossberg, whose grandfather was President John F. Kennedy, also took a shot at his uncle, Trump Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling the longtime vaccine skeptic “a dangerous person who’s in charge of life and death decisions.”
Other Democratic candidates in the race include Assemblyman Micah Lasher, whom Nadler endorsed Monday, Assemblyman Alex Bores, and lawyer George Conway. The winner of the Democratic primary is virtually certain to win the deep-blue seat in the November general election.
