DETROIT — In a matchup between the top two teams in the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Pistons showcased their superiority halfway through the 2025-26 season. The Pistons picked up a 104-103 victory over the Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena Monday.

Tobias Harris was the leading scorer for the Pistons, finishing the game with 25 points. He made a crucial 3-point shot at the 1:32 mark of the fourth quarter, giving Detroit a 104-99 lead. His basket put the Pistons ahead just as they were on the verge of losing their lead during the Celtics' second-half comeback.

Jalen Duren added 18 points and nine rebounds, while Duncan Robinson added 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting from behind the arc. Cade Cunningham had another subpar shooting performance. He finished the night shooting 4 of 14 from the floor for 16 points, but he still managed to notch his 22nd double-double of the season with 14 assists.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 32 points (11 of 27 field goals, 2 of 8 3-pointers) and 11 rebounds. Payton Pritchard added 17 points, with 10 coming in the third quarter.
