AOC hits back at Trump calling her 'dumb': 'We eat Queens boys for breakfast'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit back at President Donald Trump Tuesday in a mushrooming social media spat after he called her dumb.

“I’m a Bronx girl,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “You should know that we can eat Queens boys for breakfast. Respectfully.”

The back-and-forth started over the weekend when the progressive congresswoman accused Trump of violating the Constitution by bombing Iran’s nuclear sites and called for his impeachment.

Trump countered by slamming Ocasio-Cortez as “one of the dumbest people in Congress” and suggested she should take a cognitive test.

“The reason for her ‘rantings’ is all of the victories that the U.S.A. has had under the Trump Administration,” he wrote on his social media site. “Instead of her constant complaining, Alexandria should go back home to Queens.”

He dared her to launch impeachment proceedings: “Go ahead, make my day.”

Trump also derided two Black women lawmakers, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minnesota, and Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, in a long and rambling post.

He called Crockett “a seriously Low IQ individual,” and mocked Omar for being born in Somalia, which he called a “failed country” that is “rated one of the WORST in the World, if it’s even rated at all.”

Ocasio-Cortez, a fourth-term lawmaker, represents parts of both Queens and the Bronx. But she grew up in the Bronx, as she corrected Trump.

“Mr. President, don’t take your anger out on me – I’m just a silly girl,” she tweeted. “Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war.”

“It only took you 5 months to break almost every promise you made,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

Both Democrats and a handful of Republicans say they believe Trump should have sought the approval of Congress before launching the attack on Iran.

But GOP leaders and Trump have brushed off those complaints as sour grapes, especially since a ceasefire has brought a halt to the fighting for now.
