Aces lose to Fever again with Caitlin Clark on sideline

The Aces lost to the Indiana Fever, 80-70, on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Star Fever guard Caitlin Clark did not play. She was ruled out with a right groin injury Wednesday.
Forward A’ja Wilson scored 20 points and guard Jackie Young 19 for Aces (12-12).
Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever (13-12) with 21 points and four assists.
The Aces led 41-35 at halftime, but couldn’t overcome a five-point deficit in the final 90 seconds.
The loss ended a three-game win streak after the Aces beat the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday in their return from the WNBA All-Star break.
The game was the final one of the regular-season series between the teams. Indiana has a 2-1 edge and the tiebreaker over the Aces for potential postseason seeding.
The Aces beat the Fever, 89-81, on June 22 at T-Mobile Arena, as Clark scored 19 points. Indiana then rolled past the Aces, 81-54, on July 3 in Indiana without Clark.
