NEW YORK — Don’t expect to see Deion Sanders at Cleveland Browns training camp.

Rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders remains low on the Browns’ depth chart and told his famous father not to come watch him at a practice this summer.

“I don’t want him coming to see me right now, because I want to get to where I want to go, then for him to see me,” Shedeur told reporters Monday.

“I don’t want him to come and see me get a couple of reps, and he’s cheering like a good dad. Nah, you can’t be proud of me right now. I’ve got to get to where I’m going, and I know it’s a lot I’ve got to do to get there,” he said.

The Browns selected Sanders, 23, out of Colorado in the fifth round of April’s NFL draft, ending a stunning slide for a quarterback many had projected to be a first-round pick.

Cleveland’s quarterback job is open, with 40-year-old Joe Flacco, journeyman Kenny Pickett and third-round rookie Dillon Gabriel also in the mix.

After sitting out of Saturday’s team drills with arm soreness, Sanders was a full participant at Monday’s practice, but Flacco took all of the first-team reps during the 11-on-11 portion, according to ESPN.

Deion, a Hall of Fame cornerback and Colorado’s head coach, attended a practice at Tampa Bay Buccaneers camp last month to see his 25-year-old son, Shilo Sanders, an undrafted rookie safety.

But Shedeur said Monday that the media attention that would accompany his father at Browns camp could “take away from the team.”

“I don’t want no distractions,” the rookie said.

Deion had previously revealed his son asked him to avoid Browns practices, adding that Shedeur was handling his first NFL training camp “like a pro.”

“He ain’t mad. He ain’t bitter,” Deion said during an interview with former teammate Michael Irvin. “He’s like, ‘I’ve got work to do, but I’m gonna put in this work. One thing, they’re gonna have to let me play. Preseason’s gonna come, and preseason comes, watch me work.’”
